26-27 Parent Committee

We are excited to launch our parent committee in 2026-2027! A group of parents support the community here at NDA by providing leadership and oversight to key areas in our student experience. We would like a parent from each class to serve on this team. Responsibilities include:

Planning Major Student Events (Spring Formal etc)
Supporting Field Trip Planning with Administration
Meeting and Communicating to Support Initiatives

Cold Weather Policy

Our cold weather policy is stated below. The reason behind this policy comes after years of serving families and having staff from a wide range of geographic travel. To serve such a wide base of staff and families we have found that the following policy has become our best-practice.

If Newaygo OR Tri-County delay or close we are closed all day.
If you feel that it is unsafe to travel from your location simply communicate with us and make your best judgement.
We expect 5-6 snow days a year concentrated in the months of January and February.
We rarely close before or separate from the school above.
We have had closures around or following our breaks and although unfortunate, we continue to follow our policy.
